POSITION PROFILE AND RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a systems thinker who has financial leadership experience, an innate curiosity about the business and is passionate about utilizing technology to deliver accurate, relevant, and timely information to drive the business forward. Reporting to the President and Chief Administrative Officer, you will lead the finance function and be responsible for financial and other management reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring the utilization of information systems to develop and report on key performance indicators to assist other functional area leaders track and meet the organization’s financial targets. You will be responsible for: * Period-end close and related financial reporting to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) * Financial budgeting and monitoring cash flow. * Tax planning and compliance for all applicable taxes. * Leading the annual financial reporting and audit process. * Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and internal controls. * Leading the finance and business support services team. * Working with teams to understand profitability drivers, develop KPIs and appropriate reports for tracking. * Analyzing data to identify trends and insights to inform company decision-making and drive business strategy. * Assisting with the set-up and implementation of NetSuite ERP system. * Managing the NetSuite ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and utilization. * Liaising with the NetSuite vendor for system upgrades, updates, and necessary customizations. * Assisting with managing IT vendors and contractors, ensuring that they deliver high-quality services that meet the company's needs. * Leading business process analysis and requirements gathering for software implementations. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a CPA designation. * 8+ years of progressive financial experience, with 2 + years of leading a team and ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment (however not essential). * Proven experience in financial analytics, budgeting, and key financial metrics * Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite preferred but not essential) and ideally have led business software implementation. * Experience in mapping and developing or updating business processes to improve financial and/or operational efficiencies and effectiveness is an asset. * Strong software application skills including Microsoft 365 tools and ERP systems. Business intelligence and analytics software knowledge would be an asset. * A collaborative, engaging, and consultative leadership style. * Ability to bring creative ideas and solutions using data and metrics to drive the business forward. * Aptitude and interest in process improvement and technology solutions. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
