GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The general purpose of the job is to keep the appearance of The Lodge at Woodloch up to Woodloch standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Garbage clean up and compost pick-up
  • Snow removal
  • Leaf clean up and raking
  • Mowing, pruning, mulching, and weeding
  • Landscaping installation
  • Machine maintenance
  • Fence installation
  • Storm clean-up
  • Tree work
  • Seeding and reseeding
  • Planting & replacements
  • Drainage & curbs
  • Spraying
  • Cleaning gutters
  • Garden work
  • Pond maintenance
  • Seasonal Decorating
  • Work cooperatively with the Trail Maintenance staff to ensure the availability of equipment and to coordinate the need of the landscape technician.
  • Plan projects, order materials, and handle the scheduling of required staff.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Landscaping Supervisor and/ or Building and Grounds Manager

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work all shifts and have a flexible schedule.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: There is no prior experience or training required to perform the essential functions of this job.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. They are sometimes required to stand for long hours, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
