Job Title: Inventory Control & Purchasing Agent
Location: Birmingham Area (Bessemer, AL)
Hours: Monday / Friday (8 AM - 6 PM)
Reports to: Inventory & Procurement Manager

WOW! Business is booming at Real Floors, Inc. and we're looking to add two (2) INVENTORY CONTROL & PURCHASING AGENTS to our team in Bessemer, AL!

The INVENTORY CONTROL & PURCHASING AGENTS will facilitate order placement and freight logistics of all stocked material, as well as Special Order material requests made by warehouse managers and account executives. They will maintain databases related to the procurement process, and assist in all aspects of inventory management from scheduling and monitoring regular cycle counts to reconciling physical inventory.

  • Purchase stocked and special order material
  • Logistics/freight coordination to the branches
  • Timely communication with warehouse and account execs on order status

  • Coordinate and ensure local cycle counts are completed and match system totals
  • Physical inventory reconciliation
  • Inventory file audits/consolidation
  • Facilitate branch-to-branch transfers

  • Daily maintenance of the B2B/eCommerce module and product file
  • Follow up on mill claims
  • Process mill credits
  • Some travel required
  • Perform all other duties assigned by management

  • Inventory control and inventory management experience
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills; ability to multi-task
  • RFMS experience is preferred, but is not required
  • General computer and software skills (Gmail, Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Data analysis and compilation skills are a plus
