Grants and Funding Requests Manager The Rotary Club of Oakville Foundation is an integral part of the Rotary family in Oakville, committed to supporting registered charities and initiatives that make a meaningful impact on our community. With a focus on transparency, accountability, and community engagement, we strive to empower organizations that align with our values and contribute to positive change. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Grants and Funding Requests Manager to oversee the review, evaluation, and management of donation and grant applications from registered charities. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the process for donations and requests and ensuring that our donations are distributed efficiently and effectively to maximize their impact on the community. This is part-time (8-10 hours per week), remote work position reporting directly to the Foundation's Board of Directors. The Grants and Funding Requests Manager will handle the following: * Assess donation and grant applications from registered charities, ensuring alignment with the Foundation's mission and objectives. * Conduct thorough due diligence on applicant charities, including conducting research, financial analysis, program assessment, and impact evaluation of all requests. * Summarize findings and recommendations for the Foundation's Board of Directors, providing clear and concise reports on each application. * Present recommendations to the Board based on comprehensive analysis and assessment of applicant charities. * Establish and maintain effective communication channels with applicant charities, providing feedback on their applications and assisting with any inquiries. * Collaborate with successful charities to obtain impact reports, documenting how donations were used and the resulting impact on the community. * Develop and implement a social media strategy including actively promoting the Foundation's mission and initiatives on social media platforms and other relevant channels. * Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance (updates and posts) of the Foundation’s website. * Develop and implement PR strategies to raise awareness of the Foundation's work and attract potential donors and partners. * Liaison, engage and build relationships with donors, potential donors, community, and stakeholders to raise awareness, build the Foundation’s presence and secure additional funding. * Develop and implement donation and grant polices and procedures. * Promote, coordinate, and oversee special events. * Develop and implement effective processes for tracking all requests, donations, and gifts. * Prepare and deliver materials including reports and presentations to the Board, Community stakeholders and partners. * Prepare and manage budgets. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences). * Proven experience in grant management, fundraising, or philanthropy, preferably within the nonprofit sector. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial documents, program effectiveness, and impact metrics and manage budgets. * Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. * Strong computer skills including MS Office, and familiarity websites and social media platforms. * Experience with creating and implementing PR strategies. * Self-starter, with experience of working remotely and the ability to take their own initiative. * Exhibits a cheerful outlook and able to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. * Able to keep confidentiality. * Committed to the mission, vision, and values of the Rotary Club family and the RCO Foundation.
