The Opportunity As Finance Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and supervising financial information produced from day-to-day operations from both our USA and Canada offices ensuring compliance and local financial regulations, including supporting month end and year end tasks, supervising team, as well as supporting the needs for financial reporting and analysis. Additionally, you will work closely with the team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making to improve/implement financial resources and/or processes to support the operation. Job Duties and Responsibilities · Implement/supervise internal controls and procedures to audit the financial information derived from day-to-day operational activity. · Monitor internal credit terms and policies alongside Operations Accounting team · Monitor and analyze A/R and A/P schedules; highlighting areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions; to include forecasting cash requirements. · General ledger account review and audit · Prepare and review Bank Reconciliations · Work closely with Local Accountants to prepare and files local taxes · Monitor cashflow forecasts to support the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes. · Identify and assess operational risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations accounting, and Talent and Culture, to support strategic initiatives and drive business growth. · Support and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the finance department. · Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies · Audit department process and procedures to reduce inconsistencies and fraud Management Responsibilities if any Responsible for a shared team of Finance Coordinators/Specialists Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required · 7+ of Finance experience in a similar role, preferably in the travel industry. · Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and financial reporting standards. · Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. · Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. · Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
