The Estee Lauder Companies’ Global Online team is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Finance Director to join the team. The Global Online team leads the company’s multibillion-dollar Online business for all our brands across all online/digital channels and geographic regions. This critical role leads the financial planning and analysis for our Global Online teams, including Digital Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Innovation. The role is responsible for planning and managing Global Online budgets, supporting our Online technology transformation, and identifying and executing on opportunities to drive incremental efficiency and revenue for the group. The Finance Director reports to the Vice President, Finance, and is a key partner to the broader senior leadership across the Online organization (President/SVPs/VPs). This role manages a team of three individuals (with two direct reports) and partners closely with the broader Online finance team.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Own financial planning and monitoring of a multimillion-dollar technology platform initiative, working with senior Online stakeholders to drive accountability and track performance metrics
  • Work closely with business partners on annual Long-Range Planning and Budget processes to develop financial plans that reflect efficiencies and revenue drivers across Capital and OPEX
  • Lead the analysis of Online budgets (Capital, Site Development, Hosting, Licensing, etc.) to identify opportunities for cost savings (i.e., vendor consolidation); work closely with business partners to plan, develop, and track plans to execute savings initiatives
  • Develop financial framework to monitor, measure, analyze, and predict performance for various Innovation initiatives, including pipeline of potential revenue opportunities to communicate to stakeholders across the organization
  • Partner with teams both within Online and across the Corporation (Procurement, Legal, etc.) to analyze external vendor agreements and provide key insights to support negotiations
  • Develop business cases and assess ROI for efficiency and revenue-driving opportunities and conduct post-mortem analyses to guide business partners to make the best-informed investment decisions
  • Challenge the status quo in a continuously evolving the online business, seek areas for process improvement, and drive towards excellence while supporting critical decision-making that is grounded in data, analytics and insights
  • Manage a team of three (with two direct reports) providing appropriate leadership, guidance, and development opportunities

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of financial planning and analysis experience; MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical skills required to perform value-added FP&A responsibilities
  • Ability to collaborate and influence to create cross-functional consensus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills necessary
  • Experience managing team members in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial reporting systems (OneStream); SAP knowledge plus
  • Proactive individual looking to continuously take on additional responsibility and improve processes and procedures
  • Industry experience in online and/or fast-moving consumer products preferred

Ability to work independently and in groups


U.S Corporate/Office Exempt Roles (Equity Eligible)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $113,500 to $195,000. Exact salary depends on several

factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on

geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a

highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance

and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
