The impact you'll make: Reporting to the Director of IT, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) - Finance will serve as the primary interface with the company’s Finance team to analyze business needs, identify and prioritize requirements, and propose solutions with the associated costs and timeline. In addition to considering IT solutions, the analyst needs to be proactive with the business by identifying potential areas where business processes/policies/procedures may benefit from change. The BSA will take a leading role in translating business requirements into system changes/functional specifications and play a key role in determining and driving the solution. The analyst must be comfortable in leading meetings and driving consensus and must be comfortable with a constantly changing environment. The BSA will also have the primary responsibility for the IT deliverables and will provide production support as required to ensure smooth operations. All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers. What you'll do: * Coordinates communication with the key stakeholders and prioritizes delivery of IT services. * Interfaces with key Business Stakeholders and IT teams to gather, develop and document designs for new software features. * Gain insight necessary to prioritize and begin requirements gathering by defining and documenting project viewpoints, assumptions, and possible business risks. * Analyze, develop, and write business requirements, translate into functional design documents, and participate in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes for complex application systems. * Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, store visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. * Develops detailed business cases, ROI calculations, value definition, cost assessments (expense/capital), benefits, and risk analyses. * Ability to coordinate, lead and manage groups of people with different objectives from multiple functional areas and ability to form and manage an effective project team. * Participates in QA processes; identifies test cases; explains complex processes; aids in developing test plans. * Provides ongoing, second tier application support and troubleshooting as required. * Identify system impact of changes to the organization, end users and other integrated systems/processes. * Conducts root-cause analyses using knowledge of existing systems, applications, interfaces, and other technologies and processes for defect resolution. * Contributes to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion. Qualifications: * Must have a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a relevant field. * Suitable candidate must have previous proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst. * Must have exposure to finance, either by having a financial background, or having worked closely with the finance team, or supporting financial applications. * You’ll be a natural collaborator who is incredibly solution oriented, curious by nature, and loves solving problems. * Must have experience with an ERP system. Experience with Dynamics AX is nice to have. * Ideally, the candidate will have exposure to a retail organization, but not required. * As the team is working on a Shopify POS implementation, any exposure to Shopify is helpful, but not required. The compensation range for this position is from $75,000 – $116,000 annually on average. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
