Job Description

Haynes Equipment Company, Inc. is looking to add to our team! We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical task.

Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our sales managers and technicians, assisting with daily operations in the office and warehouse. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Assist with inside sales
  • Handling and tracking customer files from order to payment received
  • Process sales orders with accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop training opportunities for team
  • Receive, sort, and handle incoming mail
  • Greet and assist visitors to the office
  • Assist in shipping, receiving, and inventory
  • Organize and keep work areas clean and safe

Requirements and skills:

  • Knowledge or experience as an Admin Assistant is a plus
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, ZOOM mtgs.)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Fork lift experience or the ability to learn to operate a fork lift is necessary

Physical Demands:

The job is performed indoors in a traditional office and warehouse. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer. This job may include some lifting - up to

50lbs and other physical labor of moving parts and equipment.
