Service Charge Accountant

Hoddesdon

Permanent; 37.5 hours per week

Up to £35,000 per annum

With this growth comes this career opportunity for a service charge accountant with private sector residential service charge accounting experience to join us a Client Accountant at our Hoddesdon office where you’ll be working alongside a great team of finance professionals.

Do you have the ability to undertake full preparation of Service Charge Accounts, core documents to trial balance and have the set of accounts ready for our external accountants to certify? If you do and are ready to hit the ground running, this is the role for you.

What will you be doing?

Client Accountants at RMG ensure the timely and accurate production of Service Charge Accounts including, liaising with auditors, Property Managers and Clients as needed.

  • Prepare service charge accounts in accordance with current legislation and industry body requirements within 6 months of the year end.
  • Liaise with all interested parties throughout the process to ensure queries are responded to in a timely way.
  • Process any amendments following external and/or internal agreement between parties
  • Meet all Service Level Agreements within stated deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for the full preparation process even whilst not actively involved to ensure timely completion

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience preparing and reviewing residential service charge accounts.
  • Medium to advanced user of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Highly organised, forward thinking, taking a lateral approach to problem solving.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, being always polite and courteous to both internal and external parties.
  • Have a proven work ethic; striving to constantly improve personal performance while working towards team objectives.
  • Demonstrate a consistent high level of customer service.
  • Communicate in a well written and professional manner making sure all work is correctly formatted with grammar and spelling checked before being issued.
