Location Home Office – Colorado preferred

Description

Confluence is seeking a qualified professional to support company accounting. Successful candidates will possess excellent attention detail, be comfortable performing in a fast-paced collaborative work environment, excel in problem solving, and be self-motivated. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for general business accounting, management and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparation of financial reports for company management, supporting budgeting, revenue, and expense forecasting, and processing bi-weekly payroll and employee expense reimbursements.

Responsibilities

  • Post business transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet statements.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial records for payment, auditing, and tax purposes. Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Verify expenses are recorded to the correct organizational cost centers and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform journal entries.
  • Monitor company email for inbound vendor/contractor invoices and customer checks.
  • Prepare invoices for internal review and manage final delivery to client.
  • Assist in cost reviews and research.
  • Maintain accurate time and expenses submitted on a weekly basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage your own time.
  • Experience with data management and report preparation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have a home office with a reliable internet connection, conducive to remote work.
  • Have a computer capable of running company software that performs reliably and meets network security requirements.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working with limited supervision.
  • Maintain auditable personal notes on work completed to backup billed project work and approved indirect time.
  • Comply with all Confluence and client policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong data management skills.
  • Independently driven to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, PowerBi, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Motivated learner that can work both independently with minimum supervision and within a collective group to support project requirements.
  • Oil and Gas experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Payroll and Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
