Accounts Assistant

Location: Leeds

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am till 1pm

Salary: £28,000 pro rata

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a part time Accounts Assistant to join our client’s Manufacturing business in Leeds.

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. Working in a standalone role, the successful applicant will undertake a wide variety of duties to ensure that all the accounts and associated tasks for the three companies are completed efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily checking of the companies’ bank accounts and cashflow
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Debtor and creditor management
  • Weekly/monthly supplier payment run.
  • Purchase/sales ledger control
  • Processing invoices
  • Sending out customer statements
  • Taking card payments when required
  • Management of expenses and petty cash
  • Month/year end processes and quarterly VAT return
  • Monthly profit and loss
  • Processing of monthly payroll
  • Adhering to all accounts processes and development of new procedures where necessary

The successful candidate will have experience in all MS Office packages, Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll is essential. If you are AAT qualified and have a background working in a busy finance department then this could be the perfect role for you.
